Progress Made On Disease Regulatory Reform

The Alliance is excited about the major progress that was made at the United States Animal Health Association conference regarding changes for tuberculosis and brucellosis regulatory reform. Resolutions were also made regarding keeping the industry informed with the latest data concerning Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD), Blue Tongue Virus (BTV) and Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). The Alliance is also thankful for the state and federal animal health officials and other stakeholders who supported this year's resolutions.

ACA Helps Eliminate Colorado's Brucellosis Testing

The American Cervid Alliance has helped eliminate Colorado's Brucellosis interstate testing requirement effective January 2, 2018. This state-by-state requirement will need to be addressed by each state's local industry, which is already starting to happen. The Alliance will continue to update the industry as more changes occur.
